The Wilma W. Daniels Gallery, New Hanover County Schools, and the Wilson Center are thrilled to announce the return of the annual student art show, showcasing the work of student artists in the New Hanover County Schools. This popular exhibition returns to the Wilma W. Daniels Gallery this spring, and will feature the work of dozens of artists. The exhibition opens to the public today, March 11, 2022, and will run through April 1, 2022.

Throughout this school year, the New Hanover County Schools Arts programs have continued to support school communities by helping them find ways of being resilient through acts of artistic exploration and creation. The NHCS are happy to present the Best Foot Forward Art Exhibit to highlight some of the best and brightest visual artists in grades k-12 across the district. The exhibition will open with a reception from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., which will feature the Murrayville Elementary School Steel Drum Band.

For those who wish to view the works on display, the Wilma W. Daniels Gallery will be open from noon to 5 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Thursdays, during the course of this exhibition.
